Wednesday 3 May, 6:45pm at Crookham Village Hall, followed by refreshments at 7:15pm and talk at 7:30pm by Geoff Parkhouse, "Ancrum: A Small Village with a Big History".
Geoff is one of the prime movers in the Ancrum and District Heritage Society, established in 2016 to investigate a site long thought to be the site of a thirteenth-century palace of the Bishops of Glasgow. In the photo, Geoff is holding what may be a stone acanthus leaf, burned at some point and particularly fragile. His talk will focus on Ancrum and the Society’s work in uncovering its history.
All are welcome. Members free; Visitors £4
